Volunteer Policy

PTR Social Welfare Foundation we deeply values the contributions of volunteers who generously donate their time, skills, and expertise to support our mission and programs. This Volunteer Policy outlines the guidelines, expectations, and responsibilities for volunteers who wish to assist us in our work. By volunteering with PTR Social Welfare Foundation, you agree to adhere to the terms of this policy.
1. Purpose of Volunteering
Volunteers play a crucial role in helping PTR Social Welfare Foundation achieve its mission. Our volunteers support a variety of programs and services, including event planning, fundraising, community outreach, administration, and more. Volunteers are an integral part of our operations and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
2. Eligibility to Volunteer
To volunteer with PTR Social Welfare Foundation, individuals must meet the following criteria:

4. Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
Volunteers are expected to:

- Respect Confidentiality: Volunteers may have access to confidential information. They are expected to respect the confidentiality of any sensitive data they may come across during their volunteer work.
- Adhere to Organizational Policies: Volunteers must comply with PTR Social Welfare Foundation’s policies, including safety guidelines, behavior standards, and any specific program guidelines that apply to their role.
- Maintain Professional Conduct: Volunteers are expected to behave in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner toward PTR Social Welfare Foundation staff, other volunteers, and the communities we serve.
- Report Issues or Concerns: Volunteers should report any issues, concerns, or problems they encounter during their volunteering experience to the volunteer coordinator or program manager.
5. Volunteer Training and Support
PTR Social Welfare Foundation is committed to ensuring that volunteers have the resources and support they need to succeed in their roles. As part of this commitment:
- Orientation and Training: Volunteers will be provided with orientation and training relevant to their roles. This may include learning about PTR Social Welfare Foundation’s mission, specific programs, safety procedures, and other essential information.
- Ongoing Support: Volunteers will have access to ongoing support from PTR Social Welfare Foundation staff, who will be available to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure a positive volunteer experience.
6. Volunteer Hours and Scheduling
- Flexible Hours: Volunteer hours can be flexible based on the volunteer’s availability and the needs of PTR Social Welfare Foundation. Volunteers are encouraged to communicate their availability clearly so that schedules can be arranged accordingly.
- Time Commitment: The time commitment for each volunteer role will vary depending on the task or program. Volunteers are encouraged to honor their commitment to the agreed-upon schedule. If they need to modify their hours, volunteers should notify the appropriate staff member in advance.
- Tracking Hours: Volunteers may be asked to track and report their hours. This helps PTR Social Welfare Foundation recognize their contributions and provide appropriate documentation for any volunteer recognition or other purposes.
7. Volunteer Rights and Benefits
Volunteers have the following rights:
- Respect and Fair Treatment: Volunteers will be treated with respect and dignity, and their contributions will be valued.
- Safe Working Environment: PTR Social Welfare Foundation is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all volunteers.
- Recognition: Volunteers will be acknowledged for their contributions in various ways, including certificates, appreciation events, and public recognition when appropriate.
- Access to Resources: Volunteers will have access to necessary resources, materials, and training to perform their duties effectively.
8. Insurance and Liability
- Volunteer Insurance: PTR Social Welfare Foundation provides insurance coverage for volunteers while they are performing tasks related to the organization’s activities. However, volunteers are expected to act within the scope of their assigned duties to ensure their insurance coverage remains valid.
- Liability: PTR Social Welfare Foundation is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur as a result of a volunteer’s personal actions or behavior outside the scope of their assigned duties.
9. Termination of Volunteering
PTR Social Welfare Foundation reserves the right to terminate a volunteer relationship at any time if:
- The volunteer fails to comply with the organization’s policies, including confidentiality agreements, safety standards, or behavioral expectations.
- The volunteer is not able to meet the minimum commitment requirements or consistently fails to show up for scheduled shifts.
- The volunteer’s actions or behavior are detrimental to the organization, its programs, or the communities served.
Volunteers are also welcome to discontinue their volunteer role at any time with proper notice to the volunteer coordinator or program manager.
10. Volunteer Agreement and Confidentiality
Before beginning their volunteer work, volunteers are required to sign a Volunteer Agreement and a Confidentiality Agreement, which outline their role, responsibilities, and commitment to upholding PTR Social Welfare Foundation’s standards and ethical guidelines.
11. Changes to the Volunteer Policy
PTR Social Welfare Foundation reserves the right to modify or update this Volunteer Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to volunteers, and continued participation as a volunteer will be considered acceptance of the updated policy.
